Located in the former Bleeding Heart Bakery and Cafe space, the newly Certified Green Restaurant is a full-service brunch and walk-up counter coffee and bakery. Owners Greg Mohr and Scott Weiner also own neighboring Roots Handmade Pizza to the east, Homestead located atop the bakery and The Fifty/50 on Division Street. Guests can pop into the bakery to pick up cake balls, muffins, cupcakes and the such or grab a table and peruse the brunch menu, which includes a long list of both savory and sweet brunch items. Choose from five variations of eggs Benedict, cranberry cream cheese stuffed French toast, chilaquiles, chicken and waffles, skillets, omelets and the doughnut breakfast sandwich, to name a few. Be sure to top your order off with a side of the candied maple bacon because, why not? Vegans rejoice--s'mores and biscuits and gravy are among the vegan menu items, along with vegetarian options, too. Order wedding or other special occasion cakes from the bakery, which also offers catering as well as online ordering.
