Pastry chefs Phoebe Walters and Kate McNamara, the duo behind this Boystown bakery, formerly Phoebe's Cupcakes, have expanded from a cupcake shop to a full-fledged bakery. Besides serving cupcakes, pastries and fair trade coffee from The Coffee and Tea Exchange, there are new espresso drinks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Start the day off with one of the sweet or savory items from the breakfast menu including the Sunshine Morning Breakfast Panini with brie cheese and Nutella. Though a variety of lunch and dinner panini, soups and sides have joined the ranks with the sweet items, cupcakes are still the signature dessert. Walters and McNamara focus onhigh-end ingredients, using whole vanilla beans, fresh-fruit garnishes and other gourmet touches. They've also got more than 200 flavors up their sleeves, from strawberry mojito to mint chocolate chip.
