This North Center BYOB specializes in huge signature maki such as the flaming (seriously--it's on fire) Heat Wave (spicy tuna and spicy shrimp with cucumber, avocado and tempura crunch) and the Cilantro Gimlet (tuna, whitefish, cilantro, jalapeno and avocado wrapped in soy paper and drizzled in a cilantro gimlet sauce). Flooded in dark hues and filled with tranquil music, the dining room and 13-foot sushi bar are low key and friendly, with the owner herself serving up maki, nigiri and a handful of Thai items. Don’t miss the Ocean Chaos, a rice dish that includes squid, shrimp, scallop, bell peppers and bamboo shoots in a chile sauce.
