Paris native Vincent Colombet, owner and operator of catering and cooking company Cook au Vin, has recreated a traditional 19th Century Parisian cafe at this Logan Square spot. It's appointed with marble and cast-iron bistro tables, a black- and white-tiled floor and a chandelier and stocked with flaky croissants and authentic baguettes. (The boulangerie, or bread bakery, is on the premises, serving up fresh loaves every two hours; a large timer on the exterior wall lets passers-by know the exactly how long it will be until the next batch emerges from the oven.) Other offerings include sweet and savory made-to-order crepes and "Bread-Flix," an online ordering service for home or office delivery of fresh bread.
