Chicago's own -- and increasingly revered -- independent coffee house encourages patrons to sit, read, think -- and, of course, drink coffee at its third location. Beans are roasted at Intelligentsia's Roasting Works (1850 W. Fulton Market) and transferred to the store fresh daily. In addition to the signature coffees this location features a rotating selection of restaurant blends; these coffees were previously only available at top local eateries like Charlie Trotter's, Scylla and Blackbird. This location also serves sandwiches--such as a ham, blue cheese, pear and honey jam baguette--along with seasonally inspired charcuterie and cheese plates featuring fresh chevre, tulum cheddar and other cheeses from local artisan cheese and wine shop Pastoral.
