The Chicago outpost of this contemporary steakhouse group has expansive floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Shore East Park, with a prime view from the open-air rooftop with heaters to boot. Expect dim lighting, mahogany wood, Italian marble and a glass-enclosed wine room with 300-400 options by the bottle. The menu consists primarily of USDA prime beef, with an in-house butcher cutting the filets and strip steaks to order. There's also a selection of seafood, such as sea bass, salmon and coldwater lobster, plus a few fun small plates such as duck and waffles (a play on the Southern favorite served in a waffle cone). Appetizers such as applewood smoked bacon-wrapped scallops kick things off right, while rich desserts provide a sweet capstone.
