Cassava bread rolls, a popular snack in Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil, are the staple at this counter-service bakery and cafe in Wrigleyville. The all-natural rolls, made from cassava flour and baked fresh every hour, come in four flavors: original, jalapeno and white cheddar, Greek olive and feta, and sundried tomato and basil. Like the bakery's muffins (blueberry, banana and more) the rolls are gluten-free. Beverages include Metropolis coffee, thick European-style hot chocolate made using melted chocolate bars, and smoothies prepared using Greek yogurt and real fruit, with no added syrups or sugar.
