The Elmhurst Art Museum hosts the only U.S. appearance of the international traveling exhibition, The Whole World a Bauhaus. The Bauhaus was founded in 1919 in Weimar, moved to Dessau in 1925 and closed in 1933 in Berlin under pressure from the National Socialists. Photographs and documents combine with art and design pieces by Bauhaus masters and students.
