The FRED Garden Festival in Riverside has classes this year that focus on edible gardens, native plants and historic landscapes. Among the presenters are: Vicki Nowicki of The Land Office, Nate Fremont of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, landscape architect Jack Pizzo, and keynote speaker Scott Mehaffey. An evening lecture by WTTW's Geoffrey Baer presenting a sneak peek at the forthcoming PBS film on "Ten Towns that Changed America," - of which Riverside is one!  All proceeds go to the nonprofit Frederick Law Olmsted Society.
