It’s that time of year – the 22nd annual Aon Step Up for Kids, presented by KPMG, returns Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 to the Aon Center! Ring in the new year the right way with friends and family by having fun, staying healthy and giving back! Step Up for Kids is organized by K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, an affiliated organization of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. During the event, participants race to the top of the Aon Center, one of Chicago’s tallest skyscrapers. Steppers can do either a half or full climb of the 80-story, 1,136-foot-tall building. Those who can’t climb on event day can register as virtual participants. The first “step-off” starts at 8 a.m. with steppers assigned staggered start times through 12:30 p.m. Individual start times will be provided at packet pick-ups as well as listed on the event website. Registration starts at $50 with all proceeds benefitting K.I.D.S.S for Kid’s $4 million commitment to the Lurie Children's Department of Family Services, a division of the hospital that focuses on the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients and their families. Registration is free for virtual participants and kids under 12. With registration, each participant agrees to a fundraising commitment of $150. Participants also have the option to become VIP Steppers with more exciting benefits including guaranteed start time, access to a personal fundraising coach, VIP Event Day Package and more! Online registration closes on Wednesday, Jan. 22 but participants can still register in-person at packet pick-up or on event day. Each participant will be rewarded when they reach the top with complimentary food and beverages, along with live music from Spakl at The Mid-America Club Finish Line Celebration, located on the 80th floor.
