3 Stars - "'Love became a liability,' it is observed in Dominique Morisseau’s beautifully written play 'Sunset Baby.' The line is spoken by a former black-power activist named Kenyatta, whose point is that fighters for social justice developed defenses. But if you were on the receiving end of someone who thought parental affection a weakness, you might well end up scarred and hardened — which is precisely what happened to Nina, the daughter of a political activist. It’s a bleak play — a look at the price paid by the children of revolutionaries. But Ron OJ Parson's production is very solid and Morisseau is becoming a crucial American writer." - Chris Jones
