Historical dramatist R.J. Lindsey portrays "New York Times" Managing Editor Carr Van Anda after he receives an SOS from the "Titanic" and recounts details and stories from this tragic event of 100 years ago. Program includes a slide presentation detailing the ship's construction, its luxurious accommodations and modern safety features. An artifact display of replica dinnerware for each class, newspaper front pages, Marconigrams, postcards, a telegraph key and a piece of coal from the ocean bottom are also included.
