The DePaul Humanities Center Presents the final event in its yearlong series “Lend Me Your Ears: The Sound of the Humanities” Silence and Stillness From the intentional to the inadvertent, from the depths of ontological truth to the heights of aesthetic choice, silence is constitutive of music and sound, just as stillness is constitutive of dance and movement. In an evening of Scholarly lecture and live performances, including piano and classical Indonesian dance, join us as we investigate the ways in which silence makes the music, stillness makes the dance, and absence makes all of presence possible.
