Join us as we rediscover Artemesia Gentileschi, daughter of Orazio Gentileschi. Artemesia was the first female painter to become a member of the Academy of Design in Florence, the first female painter to support her family solely through her painting, and the first female artist to paint historical and religious subjects when such heroic themes were considered beyond a woman’s reach.
