Keep the Halloween fun going with this special screening that starts at midnight. In the extended version of classic horror film, director William Friedkin and producer/screenwriter William Peter Blatty integrated more than 10 minutes of footage deleted before the film's 1973 release. They include moments which deepen the impact of a first-rate ensemble's remarkable performances and reinforces the film's grip on its audience. In the “The Exorcist” (R/133 min), a visiting actress in Washington, D.C., notices dramatic and dangerous changes in the behavior and physical make-up of her 12-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.
