This month’s walking tour explores the influence of Chicago's society culture on Michigan City's socialites. Guests discover the climactic effects the 1894 Pullman Strike had on Michigan City, the history of Washington Park, and the 1915 Eastland Disaster amount other key events in the City's history. The tour leaves the Barker Mansion at 10:30 a.m. and covers approximately 1.5 miles. In the event of rain, a special mansion tour is offered in place of the walking tour.
