Curator Meg Bero shares the transformation of narrative drawing by the Plains tribes in the 19th and 21st centuries. The term "ledger art" comes from the large bound ledger books brought west by military men and traders and used to record transactions and inventory. Contemporary artists are continuing the tradition in transformative fashion.
