This month the Chicago History Museum has themed its History Happy Hour in honor of Chicago’s soon to be 182nd birthday. The event features four 15-minute flash tours that will explore the history and meaning of the Chicago flag. Guests will have the opportunity to visit each exhibition that represents the origin of each star of the flag:  1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, Chicago Fire of 1871, 1933 Century of Progress International Exposition, and Fort Dearborn. The Happy Hour event includes live music by Son Maracas, two “Chicago Legend Margarita “drinks on the Museum sponsored by Brown Forman, a Chicago flag selfie photo booth, and the opportunity to post your best wishes on an oversized birthday card.  Guests who tweet their “flag selfie” and tag @ChicagoHistory will have a chance to win two admission tickets to the next Happy Hour event in April.
