The International TEFL Academy is hosting their inaugural Teach Abroad Film Festival to take place on April 4, 2019 at The Davis Theater, in Chicago.   This is the first film festival of its kind here in the U.S that highlights the work of incredible people teaching English as a foreign language to non-native speakers all around the world. We invite Chicagoans to see the world through their eyes on this incredible adventure of international education & cultural exchange. Attendees will leave touched, inspired, and viewing the world in a whole new light.   We received 49 film submissions and shortlisted these down to 12 finalists. These 12 finalists will have their film shown at the Teach Abroad Film Festival. We will be joined by an esteemed jury comprised of professionals from the teaching English abroad, travel, education, and film industries to select our three Grand Prize Winners. Our first place winner will receive $2,500; our second, $1,500; and our third, $750.    Anyone interested in travel, international education, or film, can attend. Tickets are $15 each and 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to The Foundation for Learning & Youth Travel Education (FLYTE) to strengthen international education and support youth empowerment in underserved communities within the USA.   Here's a little bit about International TEFL Academy: We're a worldwide leader in TEFL certification for teaching English abroad. We're headquartered in Chicago (Lincoln Park) and certify 6,000 people per year to teach English overseas. Our graduates teach professionally in 80 countries worldwide.
