Special agents are invited to the Imerman Angels Gala, MISSION Imerman POSSIBLE, on Friday, September 20 at a new venue location, Morgan Manufacturing. This year Imerman Angels will honor the amazing supporters that help to make their mission of providing free personalized one-on-one support to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers, possible! The evening’s special honorees are Carl Allegretti and Joe Allegretti, receiving the Legacy & Strength Award along with The Henry Ford Cancer Institute, receiving the Healthcare Angel Award.     “In 2018, Imerman Angels created 3,570 connections, a record number for the organization” says Imerman Angels Executive Director Stephanie Lieber. “We have been able to advance our mission and scale to this level thanks to our 10,000+ dedicated Mentor Angel volunteers, our comprehensive database (the largest of its kind for peer-to-peer psychosocial cancer support), highly-trained and compassionate Cancer Support Specialists and supporters.” About the Honorees Legacy and Strength Award: Chicago's managing partner of Deloitte, and Imerman Angels Board member, Carl Allegretti, has run more than 65 marathons in his lifetime. Although a marathon isn’t a relay race, he has certainly passed the fundraising baton to his son Joe Allegretti, a childhood leukemia survivor who ran his first marathon last year for Team Imerman Angels. Both Carl and Joe serve as Mentor Angels to those impacted by cancer, and together they are among the biggest supporters of Imerman Angels.   Healthcare Angel Award: The Henry Ford Cancer Institute in Detroit is one of Imerman Angels’ largest referral sources for those diagnosed with cancer and who seek one-on-one support- having connected over 200 people in just over a year since the partnership began. Imerman Angels is also a proud participant of the hospital system’s uplifting Survivorship Celebration Days. Your Gala Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It The cocktail reception and silent auction begins at 6 p.m. The affair includes dinner, a presentation and live auction, with a grand finale featuring more cocktails and live music on the dance floor. Generous sponsors of the gala include Deloitte, @properties and Magnus Charitable Trust. Attire is “spy-chic” (a.k.a. cocktail attire).
