In honor of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, the Gandhi Ashram-based NGO Manav Sadhna presents Jai Jagat (One Earth Family), a 90-minute multi-cultural dance-drama-musical performed by 17 remarkable children from underprivileged backgrounds of India. What they represent individually and collectively is an unforgettable testament to the power of the human spirit. Woven into this tribute to our Planet are threads of inspiration from peace legends of our times; Mahatma Gandhi, Wangari Maathai (the Kenyan woman responsible for the planting of 50 million trees), Malala Yousafzai (the phenomenal young ambassador for female education), Yusra Mardini (the courageous swimmer and Syrian refugee who made the Olympics), Masahisa Goi (a spiritual leader from Japan whose peace prayer movement circles the globe), and many more. This one-of-a-kind troupe will be in Chicago & Elgin on May 25th – 26th, 2019 to share an inspiring story of how our planet rediscovers Love. The show is in English and is great for all ages, young and old! Catch a glimpse of their magic in this 2 minute Jai Jagat Trailer at https://youtu.be/ixA10eQMGcs.
