Mitzvah students of Long Grove's Congregation Beth Judea, along with their parents, Focus on Families and Big Tent Judaism join forces in a mitzvah project to stock the food pantry at the ARK in Chicago. "Our program offers young families the opportunity to teach their children about the importance of helping others through performing mitzvot in our community," according to an announcement. The cost to help is free; however, families are asked to contribute kosher cans of food. For more information, contact Allyson Marcus at or the synagogue office at 847-634-0777.
