The official program begins at 11 a.m. with Chicago History Museum President, Gary Johnson, delivering the keynote address dedicated to the late Russell Lewis, Chief Historian Emeritus for the Chicago History Museum, who recently passed away. This celebration takes place from 10 a.m. to noon in the plaza at the museum. Guests may expect: a concert of patriotic music; presenting of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance and a reading of the Declaration of Independence and a kids’ parade led by the World’s Tallest Uncle Sam and more.
