This is the first in a three-part series of research workshops that explore the making of a historical biography. Director of research and access Ellen Keith and researcher Lesley Martin, who will dig with you through the museum's "archives and ephemera," according to an announcement, culminating with an introduction to Ellen Gates Starr, the co-founder of Hull House in 1889. Attendees also get to see how bookbinding works and meet author Suellen Hoy, who'll explore Starr's writing, including personal letters.
