Chicago Choral Artists sing sacred music on the theme of sacrifice and redemption. The centerpieces of this concert are two baroque masterworks: dramatic oratorio Historia Jonae for soloists, double choir, violins and continuo by Giacamo Carissimi; and Bach Cantata BWV 158 "Der Friede sei mit dir" with baritone Douglas Anderson. Rounding out this program are motets and anthems by Gerald Finzi, Claudio Monteverdi, Randall Thompson, Stephen Chatman, Peter Mathews, and Michael D. Costello.
