The Ruffians. Six clowns emerge from the ashes of the 1905 Iroquois Theatre fire (now the site of the Oriental Theatre) that killed 600 people to, hopefully, finish the happy ending of their Christmas pantomime, "Mr. Bluebeard." Rooted in style and whimsy, "Burning Bluebeard" pays engaging tribute to a dark moment in Chicago history. Jay Torrence's play is directed by Halena Kays and premiered in 2011 with The Neo-Futurists.
