Airborne Day is an annual celebration of the history and accomplishments of American military parachute and glider forces. Since the first U.S. combat jump into North Africa in 1942, Airborne forces have spearheaded military operations in nearly every conflict around the world that included U.S. military. At Airborne Day enjoy quality entertainment, current and vintage military vehicles and equipment, demonstrations, a parachute try-on station, and plenty of family activities. The picnic features an all you can eat pig roast and favorite picnic fare beginning at noon and served in the VFW Post dining room. Enjoy the company of Airborne veterans from WWII to present day. This event is open to the public and is family-friendly. Attire is casual.
