The Hills Are Alive Fall Festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—rain or shine. This is a no-charge event but some attractions are to raise funds for Barrington Hills Police Officer Jeremy Hensler who was diagnosed with ALS. A sampling of the attractions: The Barrington History Museum exhibits Blacksmithing; Living Horse Museum; Equestrian Performances; Climbing Rock Wall; Hayrides; Interactive Animal Show; Petting Zoo; Cub Scout Pack 187 helps fairgoers Make Their Own Ice Cream.
