Attendees experience Scotland's rich culture and special heritage, as this celebration showcasing a selection of activities and Scottish attractions. Proceeds from the festival benefit Chicago Scots' charity. Indulge in great live music and food throughout the fun-filled weekend, including for example: all grades of piping and drumming competitions, dance competitions, whisky tastings, The Parade of Tartans and the Heather Queen Crowning, the Men in Kilts Contest of course. Also includes the ever-popular Rugby Tournament, Heavy Athletics, and Petting Zoo. Young ones may make Celtic crafts, play miniature golf, and tug-o-war. All festivities conclude with Closing Ceremonies and Massed Bands Show, a concert featuring 1,000 bagpipers and drummers performing traditional musical selections.
