Tallulah

4539 N. Lincoln Ave.
Chicago, IL 60625-2102

Matt Fisher (the former owner of Bad Dog Tavern) has opened this new American bistro in the former She She address in Lincoln Square. Troy Graves, most recently the exec chef at the now-shuttered Meritage Café & Wine Bar, is manning the stoves. Menu highlights include bulgogi-style pork belly with kimchee; crab and andouille fritters with remoulade; and braised short ribs with bacon and Brie mashed potatoes and roasted root vegetables. The space sports a clean contemporary look with earth tones, chocolate leather chairs and walnut accents, including a walnut bar with an illuminated alabaster topper (under-lighting makes the bar "glow"). Something to look forward to as the snow flies: Tallulah will have a covered patio this summer and it'll be classed up with chandeliers.
