Vella Cafe

1912 N. Western Ave.
Chicago, IL 60647
773-489-7777
Restaurant vets Melissa Yen and Sara Voden, are the duo behind this new BYOB. You might recognize the name; Vella has been selling their made-to-order panini at Chicago Green City Market the past two seasons. In addition to the panini, look for soups and salads, pastries and more. Weekend brunch features sweet and savory crepes, plus they'll have bloody mary mix waiting for your vodka. The cafe, which is right across the street from the Western Avenue Blue Line station, features chocolate-hued cement floors, a mish-mosh of vintage light fixtures and vintage blue laminate tabletops.
