Brasserie Ruhlmann SteakHouse

500 W. Superior St.
Chicago, IL 60610
312-494-1900

This splashy eatery has opened in the former Montgomery Ward & Co. headquarters (the Minoru Yamasaki designed high-rise has been re-christened The Montgomery) in River North. Although it's a spin-off of the French-NYC Brasserie Ruhlmann; don't expect a carbon copy of the Rockefeller Center original ("steakhouse" is probably your first clue). The players behind the project include Jean Denoyer, Miae Lim (Mirai, Japonais), Rick Wahlstedt (Mirai, Japonais) and Regis Marinier. The chef is Christian Delouvrier, whose resume includes La Goulue in Bal Harbour, Florida, and Alain Ducasse at the Essex House and Lespinasse in NYC.
