The blinds are usually drawn in the big front windows, but trust the "OPEN" sign rather than your first impression. Inside, you'll find four tables and a counter in a bare-bones space. Polish specialties include pierogis, beet salad (with horseradish) and imported soda pop. The stuffed potato pancake is a customer favorite--a large, thick potato pancake folded over chunks of roast pork and covered with gravy. The menu posted behind the counter consists of items written in marker on strips of cardboard hanging from nails. All lunches are $3.50, without beverage. All dinners are $5.50, without beverage. Portions are generous.
