Simple, fresh and familiar. That's the motto of this unpretentious West Loop Italian neighborhood spot, located near United Center (in the former Jay's Amore space). Philly-born chef Anthony Risoli relies on traditions of his mom and grandma for classic Italian-American dishes like rigatoni in Sunday pork gravy and spaghetti fradiavolo, teaming with chunks of lobster and shrimp. Risoli also prides himself on his made-to-order approach to pasta and appetizers (try the pan-fried eggplant topped with vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh mozzarella). The dining room reflects the casual approach; televisions are on in case you want to keep an eye on the game while you eat. There's also a 20-seat bar open late (dinner is served until midnight) and a 26-seat patio for the warm months. If you need a space for a big group, ask about renting the entire space.
