Mindy Segal, the much-lauded pastry chef from mk, has ventured out on her own in Bucktown. Don't anticipate the same desserts she served at mk; she has created an entirely new menu for this casual urban cafe. Seasonally influenced options include small plates, sandwiches, salads, and -- guess what? -- desserts. She's serving an updated continental breakfast on the weekends with house-made jams, infused butters and plenty of freshly baked sweet and savory goodies. Lunch includes selections like mussels with green curry, a tuna melt with Havarti cheese and a burger topped with bacon, aged Cheddar and a fried farm egg.
