From DePaul basketball, Chicago Wolves IHL hockey, World Wrestling Federation events, Ringling circus, Disney on Ice and pop music concerts, the attractions at the 18,500-seat Allstate Arena (formerly the Rosemont Horizon) run the gamut. It's best known for its year-round musical entertainment; most of the larger acts stop at the Arena while on tour. There are 5,000 on-site parking spaces; many nearby businesses also offer parking. The Arena is a stone's throw from O'Hare Airport, and if you're at an acoustic show you may notice the sound of airplanes passing directly overhead -- at least you know it's not a twister. To get there from the city, take Interstate 90 north to the Mannheim Road North exit. Go north on Mannheim Road 1-1/2 miles. For tickets, call Ticketmaster at 312-559-1212.
