Gaslight Bar & Grille

Chicago, IL 60614

The folks behind Lakeview's revamped Schoolyard Tavern have opened another venture in the former Reilly's Pub. While the bar borrows its name from Chicago's famed Gaslight Club, a popular men's club in the '30s and '40s, don't expect any scantily clad cigarette girls roaming the floor. The owners aim for a familiar neighborhood pub feel, complete with old nautical lights, a dark wood interior and copper walls. There's also nine plasma TVs and DJs on the weekends. Expect popular menu items from the Schoolyard, like the Reuben rolls and skillet cookie, as well as heartier fare like Australian baby lamb chops and steaks.
