Dugan's Drinking Emporium

128 S. Halsted St.
Chicago, IL 60661
312-421-7191
Back in the 1980's, Dugan's was predominantly a policemen's bar, mainly because the area was too scary for folks not carrying fire arms. Today, it's more of a neighborhood bar, though cops begin to file in after midnight. All major sporting events are shown on the eight TVs with satellite feeds; there's not a bad seat in the house. There's no kitchen, but free popcorn and snacks are put out everyday. Also, management doesn't mind if you have food delivered from neighboring restaurants. Because of its proximity to the United Center, Dugan's is a good place to go before and after Bulls and Blackhawks games. It offers party packages to fans. The front doors open onto the street in good weather, and there's a beer garden in back. The bar itself features exposed brick and a variety of games, including darts.
