In a city up to its eyeballs in hummus, on first blush there may not be much to distinguish this Lakeview East Middle Eastern spot from a slew of many others. But step inside and note the mural on the wall and the sweet, welcoming servers, and you sense something a bit more special here. Order the chicken shawerma, and you'll confirm it. In fact, most dishes here tend to be excellent. Even a simple yogurt salad seems to make a play for your attention with its bright mint flavors. Entree prices are little quirky -- some dishes are $9.99, others are a full $10 -- but nothing's more than $15. (There are also a la carte options, too.) The name, by the way, means "food" in Arabic.
