Yindee -- which means "welcome" in Thai -- serves traditional Thai and Japanese fare, including sushi, pad Thai and pad see ew. Thanks to the Lakeview eatery's open sushi bar, customers can watch their spider roll, made with soft shell crab and spicy mayo, or tempura shrimp dragon maki be prepared -- often by co-owner Ken Leagnavar, who works as a sushi chef at the restaurant. Yindee also offers several savory appetizers, such as deep fried scallops served with a teriyaki-flavored dipping sauce. One thing you won't find on the menu: cocktails. Yindee is BYOB -- however, there are several nearby liquor stores where you can pick up a pinot noir to pair with your sushi or spicy noodle dish.
