Owner Jim Stephens originally intended this spot to be a new location for now-shuttered leather bar Chicago Eagle, but neighborhood objections and a liquor license snafu decided otherwise. Hence, this casual Andersonville cafe named after Stephens' dog, serving Metropolis coffee and a small selection of pre-made sandwiches, soups, pizza and baked goods. WiFi is free and a few work stations are available for those who don't go the BYOL (bring your own laptop) route. The front section is hushed for studious types, while the back room has a TV and hosts the occasional poetry reading.
