Located in an old frame church on a country lane, this museum was once the studio of the Albright family -- artists Adam, Ivan and Malvin. Exhibits display memorabilia of old DuPage County and chronicle the careers of the Albrights from Adam (the father), who painted pastoral scenes of country life when they were fashionable early in this century, to Ivan, whose experiments in modernism shocked many viewers. Paintings, easels, books and other objects in the studio-museum make it a worthwhile destination for anyone with an interest in art. The quiet environs and exhibits about local history also make this a pleasant glimpse of a still peaceful corner of the growing suburb.
