Walking into Wally's in Avondale you'd know you're in America, but once inside you might not be so sure. Wally's can easily be compared to the great SuperSam Supermarkets in Poland. Although Hispanics, Russians and Ukrainians shop at Wally's, it's rare to hear a language other than Polish. Wally's is a supermarket that is essentially geared toward Chicago's large Polish community. Exceptionally clean, bright and well stocked, one can buy almost everything that can be bought in Poland. Products from Poland, France, Italy, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Norway and most other European countries can be found at Wally's along with American brand names. The staff is very helpful and most speak English. If you want to feel like you're in contemporary Poland, this is a good choice.
