The Second City's performers lace up their sneakers and reach deep into their imaginations to present Improv Extravaganza Explosion! It's an hour of interactive, family-friendly improvisation and sketch comedy where ideas are pulled ideas straight from the audience, and the show is made up on the spot. The best part is that the audience will never know what might happen.
The event officially began on June 16 with a summer kick-off party that included a full show and gift bags from friends in Old Town. The June 23 show was themed a "Kid's Day" and featured Time Out Chicago Kids Magazine. The June 30 show is "Big Brother Big Sister Day" and the July 14 doubles as a Red Cross fundraiser. Tickets for the shows cost $11 and are perfect for ages 5 to 12.
In addition, Up Comedy Club features a full-service kitchen and has created a special children’s menu for the show with lunch available before and during the performance. Up Comedy Club can host any size group of children and parents, and is perfect for birthday parties.
