Named for owner Tom Mancine, who grew up in neighborhood and was called Turtle since childhood, this no-frills bar attracts a local Bridgeport crowd for cheap eats and drinks. Bartenders crack open a basic run of bottled beers and a handful of Woodridge wines by the glass. Nothing the kitchen cooks up -- from basic bar fare like mini-burgers and wings to Italian grub such as sauced pastas, meatballs and eggplant sandwiches -- will cost you more than $10.
