Once known for its dive bar roots and affectionately known as Tuman's Alcohol Abuse Center, this Ukie Village spot reopened in early 2012 with a new chef, Monica Riley (Lokal, Hopleaf, Marigold) to step things up with a contemporary gastropub menu. You’ll find seasonally-rotating options like mussels with chicken chorizo, grilled calamari over field greens, garlic Amish chicken and sandwiches like ruebens or burgers. There are 28 beers on draft with a solid selection of cans and bottles, featuring local and international microbrews as well as the tried-and-true neighborhood favorite, Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hardwood floors, an original milk-glass ceiling, tin walls and mahogany bar top dress up the space. There’s also booths and TVs with HD for those who want to catch a game, along with a skiball machine for those who want to make their own action.
