From the owners of Amber in Westmont comes a second gem of a restaurant, Topaz, in the Burr Ridge Village Center. At 6,000 square feet with a covered patio for 100, Topaz is twice as large as its Westmont sibling, but with a similarly urban feel and focus on freshly made dishes. The dinner menu focuses on steaks and chops, with some Northern Italian-inflected specialties as well, including homemade gnocchi, risotto and pastas. From the dining room, take a look at the prime view of the open kitchen, enclosed in glass walls so you won't hear the clanging of pots (or Italian cursing). Hungry shoppers or locals working out at nearby Lifetime Fitness can stop in post-workout for a good burger, steak sandwich or salad at the bar, which features plenty of seating and couches for lounging.
