This rustic Italian spot in Wicker Park boasts two wood-burning ovens that churn out pizzas. The rest of the wine-friendly menu is heavy appetizers and house-made pastas. Expect selections such as pizza with goat cheese and black truffles, a prosciutto-, pomodoro-and mozzarella-stuffed calzone, pappardelle with tomatoes and basil, and thinly sliced New York strip with arugula and parmigiano-reggiano. With dishes topping out at $20, the menu here is fairly easy on the wallet, but the arty surroundings make it a fairly polished dinner destination. The interior is done up in black, white and red, and there's a 22-seat communal table running nearly the length of the floor in the main dining room. Outside, a large patio fronts garage door-style windows that open up in warm weather. Look for alfresco fashion shows and more outdoor activities in the summer.
