We used TipsyCake as our Cake supplier for our wedding. We visited their bakery for a tasting which was lovely. We greatly enjoyed their cake, especially the fillings that they offered. This bakery was well above our cake budget, but my mother decided to get us a custom cake as our wedding gift. We were so excited about the cake to come that we spent a year telling everyone we knew about it! Everything up until the event went smoothly. Once we got to the wedding and cut into our cake per the custom, we realized they had made our cake wrong. The filling was not what we ordered. Instead of their custom, toffee crunch filling, they had used the standard vanilla buttercream that they use to 'stick' the fondant to the sides. So our cake was very poor quality and most of our guests did not even finish their piece. In fact, most were shocked that we had spent so much time bragging about such a terrible cake. Once we returned from our honeymoon, we contacted the bakery. Even though we have photos that clearly show the filling was incorrect, the bakery owner essentially told us that we were wrong. She told us that her bakers remember using the right filling so it must be true. Only, it was not. I would never use this bakery again, which is such a shame. they are capable of a good product, but their follow-thru and customer service are terrrible.
Beware unless you are fine with spending top dollar for grocery store quality cake.
