I went this last Saturday and the crowd and the scene was pretty awesome/chic. I had a blast with my friends, we danced the night away. The music is pretty good I'd say a Totally new hot spot... I'm definitely coming back.

The space was really cool because it was underground. Although the fireplaces were cozy, the "regular" seating was kind of spread apart and not as warm. I would have loved a more lounge-y feel, but I thought it was more of a sports bar. I`d like to go back and see it other than on opening night to see what it`s like regularly!

Went last Friday after dinner for some drinks and dancing and the place was awesome. Great vibe, good music and good looking people. I'll definitely be back!

I went to The Grid last night for the grand opening and i just have to say i had such an fun night! The scene was great, people were all having a blast! My friends had one of the fireplace tables reserved and my girlfriends and myself danced the night away. Im so excited that I found this place! if the grand opening turn out says anything this is for sure the new Chicago 'hot spot' I will be back!

Hands down this is the BEST NEW SPOT in Chicago/River North. The decor is stylish and inviting and makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive.
The space of The Grid is very open, which allows a great flow to the crowd, along with being able to mingle and move about.
I thought the placements of the Tv's were great, as they are somewhat hidden & not the focal point, but are there for when you do want to utilize The Grid for Game Days, which I intend on doing.
If you have not been here yet, it is a MUST that youg et there and sample the drinks and food!!!

As gorgeous as this space is, its a total shame and an egregious lapse in judgement that there are 22 flat screen TVs plastered throughout this space. I mean, it doesnt even go with the decor. Is this a sports bar?? Also...perhaps more offensive than this is the fact that the place is using "copy cat douchebaggery" into this quiet corner of Chicago near East Bank Club....obnoxious music (a la DJ Rock City) and fist pumping, greasy guys standing atop these gorgeous couches and mentally vacant waitresses, who don't know what service is, waving around fireworks sparklers (ugh, childish). This is so contradictory to what is going on upstairs in the restaurant (which is great). Do these people just not get "it"? There are 50 places all over Chicago (and especially in Wrigleyville and the balance of River North) where these people can go and do the same thing over and over again! I watched throngs of chic people walk in and turn around and walk right back out! Sad!!!! What Chicago needs is a more sophisticated outpost where music quality is paramount (think DJs and music like NYC's Le Bain lounge in the Standard Hotel). This place is just so disappointing!! As a neighbor to this space, I am so sad that I will not be going here and will not encourage others to not go. At all...
